What's not in Instinctive Choice. Instinctive Choice does not contain fruits like apples, vegetables like carrots or grains like corn. Although carbohydrates like these are used in dry foods to form the nuggets, they are not necessary in canned foods. Instinctive Choice gives you the ability to feed your cat closer to how a feline would feed in the wild.
Instinctive Choice does NOT contain gluten or fillers, nor does it contain by-products, any type of chemical preservatives or artificial flavors, flavor enhancers or food colorings.
What is in Instinctive Choice. Instinctive Choice contains fresh, highly digestible, human-quality proteins from organic chicken, turkey, chicken liver and shrimp. Instinctive Choice contains nutrient rich water or “biological water,” which contains nutritional components found in meats and chicken broth. This allows your cat to obtain moisture closer to the way a cat in the wild would get it.
Instinctive Choice also contains added omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, chelated minerals, taurine, l-carnitine, vitamin E and a superior blend of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to help contribute to a healthy daily diet.
Instinctive Choice has a savory taste that your kitten or cat will love. The organic chicken, turkey, succulent shrimp and chicken liver are cooked in a delicious broth that is seasoned with a little bit of rosemary.
Serving Size Guidelines
Adult: feed about two cans per 6-8 lbs. of body weight per day.
Kitten: feed up to twice the adult amount to kittens.
Gestation & Lactation: feed up to three times the normal adult amount.
Important Feeding Information: All cats are different and require different amounts food based on their size, activity, and age. As a result, the above feeding amounts are very general guidelines and may not be what your cat will eat. Therefore, our product formulator, Dr. Jane Bicks, suggests that you start feeding less. See the example below.
For example, if you have a 12 lb. cat that is inactive, Dr. Jane suggests the following:
You Feed Only Canned Food: Feed one can of Instinctive Choice in the morning and one can in the evening.
You Feed Canned and Dry Food: Feed one can of Instinctive Choice in the morning or evening. Refrigerate and cover any remaining food and warm it slightly prior to feeding again. Then feed ¼ cup of Life’s Abundance Premium Health Food for Cats.
You Feed Canned Food Mixed with Dry Food: Feed 1/3 cup Life’s Abundance Premium Health Food with 1 can of Instinctive Choice
Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion. Your cat should always have access to clean fresh water.
